A few months back I was contacted by our fabulous wedding photographer, Kirk Mastin of Mastin Studio about my interest in being featured in Seattle Bride Magazine. Naturally, I told him I would need to think about it and get back to him...er...scratch that. I was giddy and elated! I told Arthur and he was also super excited about the possibility.
Needless to say, I immediately contacted our editor back and emphatically told her we would be happy to oblige and were honored to be considered. She explained that we were one of a few weddings they were considering for their 2012 Spring/Summer issue and that she would get back to me in a few weeks with a definite answer. My excitement gradually fell to the side over the few week wait as I figured there were much more chic and unique weddings out there than our humble 4-month semi-haphazardly pulled together celebration.
As they say, the rest is history. She contacted me back a few weeks later as promised with the great news that we had been chosen. She told me that they had found our wedding on Kirk's blog and were smitten with the fun details, unique vendors, and of course, Kirk's gorgeous photography. Can you tell we adore him? I was contacted again a few weeks later for an hour-long phone interview about our "love story", as she put it, and was told I could expect to see the issue just after the new year. So here we are! Without further ado, our spread:
A very special thank you to our parents for helping us make this special day happen. We love you all!

Congratulations you two! I knew from the moment I met you both, that you would have a beautiful wedding that exuded your unique personalities and your deep love for one another.
ReplyDeleteI had so much fun photographing your wedding and I STILL think about those mini-hamburgers form Skillet. Genius.
