Baby K #2 is a..................

IT'S A GIRL!
We are yet again over-the-moon excited and can't wait to have a house full of even more baby dolls and girly things. Baby K checked out perfectly, which is such an answer to our prayers. She currently weighs around 14 ounces (upper percentile). We had a great ultrasound experience and even got to see her in 3D—very strange and much less cute than the traditional view.

Everything feels so much more tangible now that we can imagine who is growing in my belly. We have a name picked out, but won't share until she's born. We're calling her Baby Sis around here these days.

I told Papa K on the way home from our ultrasound that this officially makes him a "daddy". He's going to be the best Papa to our girls—he already is—and I can't wait to see him flourish in that. Although he's quick to say that he hopes our next kiddo is a boy to even the playing field. :)

Thank you for your prayers going into the ultrasound. We're so grateful. We continue to pray for God's will for our family.

GIRLS! Can you believe it?!

  3. Love your blog and this is such a sweet post. Many congratulations on your second daughter! I love your pictures of your beautiful home and family, and Lola's face as she looks at the cake is just adorable. I had my baby in April last year and loved reading about what you had gone through in your pregnancy and birth shortly before. It was great to see you had started blogging again and to read your news - and lots of good luck to you all in the coming months!
